A common symptom I hear from people who’ve been exposed to a water-damaged building is that they can no longer tolerate sulfury foods. This means no more garlic, onions, eggs, fish or other stinky foods – the very foods we need to combat mold.
I have found rampant molybdenum deficiency in these people (as well as fungal colonization). Improving their molybdenum balance improves a detoxification pathway used by the liver for many different mycotoxins. Then more often than not, they can eat these healing foods without the flushing, itching, fatigue, and other sulfur intolerance symptoms.
