Naturopathic medical school comes with required training on Castor Oil Packs for a reason – because they’re universally helpful for so many conditions. In these toxic times, our systems of detoxification could use some extra help. Detox organs, such as the liver, handle much more than detoxification. In the case of the liver, it’s also tasked with nutrient balance, hormone processing, and blood sugar balancing, to name a few.
We need to give the body a sign that it can go into parasympathetic mode – this is our ‘rest, digest, repair’ state. This triggers blood and lymphatic flow to the organs, kicks the digestion into action, normalizes inflammation, and supports digestive and detoxification function.
