Dr. Jill’s Commentary
DIM and I3C promote a healthy hormone balance by supporting a pathway in the liver where we process our hormones. Food sources of these compounds come from the Brassicaceae family, such as broccoli, arugula, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, kale, cabbage, mustard greens, and horseradish, and are especially rich in broccoli sprouts.

Zearalenone is an estrogenic mycotoxin produced by the Fusarium mold species. Supporting estrogen metabolism pathways helps to detoxify this estrogenic mycotoxin.

Zearalenone is also very hard on the heart muscle. Reducing circulating levels is of paramount importance.

In studies, DIM and I3C promote healthy oxidative stress responses associated with xenoestrogen exposure from the environment. While these aren’t studies specific to Zearalenone, I applied what I learned in these studies of other environmental estrogens (xenoestrogens) to mold illness related to Fusarium exposure, and found similar results.

From The Book
Here are some key points from my book, Break The Mold, so you can see how this REPAIR tool fits into a mold recovery plan.
This picture best describes the steps to recover your health after a toxic mold exposure.

The first solution is to AVOID mold!

AVOIDANCE means getting away from the mold.

FUNDAMENTALS involve specific foods and lifestyle factors that can greatly improve your ability to conquer mold.

PROTECT and REPAIR is accomplished with targeted nutrients to manage the toxic damage from mycotoxin exposure.

FIGHT means conquering fungal overgrowth in your body.
