Dr. Jill’s Commentary
Color Guard is my favorite “multivitamin” for my mold-sick patients. While it isn’t technically a multivitamin, it does address many of the nutrient deficiencies caused by indoor toxic mold exposure.
If there’s one thing I hear over and over again from patients, it’s that mold aged them. This acceleration of aging is related to increased inflammation and oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is a science term that describes what happens at the cellular level when the body can’t keep up with the demands of excessive inflammation. The end result? Rapid aging of all tissues.
The nutrients in this formula are specifically selected to combat the known oxidative and inflammatory effects from exposure to toxic indoor molds and mycotoxins. The aim is to hit all the color bands of the rainbow in clinically relevant amounts. Each color band represents a targeted bioflavonoid, which I discuss in the PROTECT section of my book, Break The Mold.
Detoxification helpers from the REPAIR section of my book are added so that anything released from the addition of bioflavonoids has an easy pathway out of the body.
From The Book
Here are some key points from my book, Break The Mold, so you can see how these PROTECT and REPAIR tools fit into a mold recovery plan.
This picture best describes the steps to recover your health after a toxic mold exposure.
The first solution is to AVOID mold!
AVOIDANCE means getting away from the mold.
FUNDAMENTALS involve specific foods and lifestyle factors that can greatly improve your ability to conquer mold.
PROTECT and REPAIR is accomplished with targeted nutrients to manage the toxic damage from mycotoxin exposure.
FIGHT means conquering fungal overgrowth in your body.
