If your system doesn’t tolerate garlic, onions, eggs, or other sulfur-containing foods, and you’ve been exposed to mold — you likely have a problem with yeast overgrowth.
- Yeasts make the mycotoxin Gliotoxin.
- Gliotoxin opens the doorway to fungal infection.

What if you don’t tolerate garlic, onions, broccoli, eggs, other things that are full of sulfur that you really need when you’re mold affected? In my patients that usually means they have a yeast burden. Like a candida or other commensal yeast overgrowth. And usually there’s some Gliotoxin involved.
So sulfur can activate Gliotoxin and make it more, help the fungus be more virulent, or move in easier. And so if we give sulfur and then the Gliotoxin assists the mold and the yeast then you don’t feel so good when you take it.
So what’s the solution? Get rid of the yeast and the mold that’s trying to invade your body. We need sulfur. Sulfur is critical for getting the right kind of water in our bodies. It’s critical for detoxification. It’s critical for so many things. Think of it like the volcano nutrient. It’s kinda what makes volcanoes stinky too. It moves things up and out of your body. It moves toxins up and out. And so by avoiding it that’s encouraging more yeast and mold overgrowth and it’s encouraging more toxin accumulation.
So for my patients when they don’t tolerate garlic, onions, broccoli, anything with sulfur that is a big “beep, beep, beep, we hav a yeast overgrowth problem.” And that’s got to be taken care of so you can conquer mold and take back your health.
