First 3 steps when you’re getting sick

Feeling that first tickle in your throat?

Here’s your 3-step emergency protocol!

When sickness starts creeping in, remember these three powerful words:

FAST. POOP. REST.
(Yes, we’re going there!)

  1. FAST: Your body uses massive energy to digest food. Skip the meals and let that energy power up your immune system instead!
  2. POOP: Clear out your system! Why? Because digestion = energy drain. Empty digestive system = more immune power!
  3. REST: Cancel that to-do list! That “panic productivity” mode when you feel sick? That’s your cue to hit pause. Rest early = recover faster!

The moment you feel that scratchy throat, don’t push through – pull back!

So fast, poop, rest so you can conquer the crud and mold and take back your health!

First three steps if you get stick. Fast. Poop. Rest.

All right, fasting. There is a ton of energy that it takes to digest our food. So if you just stop putting food in, all the energy that your body would’ve spent breaking down all those nutrients and distributing them throughout the body can be given to the immune system.

Poop. Why poop? Same principle. If there’s food still in there, then your body will still be putting energy into digestion instead of allocating it to the immune system. How do we accomplish this with mold? Now, typically in the old school, naturopathic doctors, I was trained to give aloe wormwood caps or tea when someone just at the first onset of that little bit of sticky throat or prickly throat. Aloe, the outer leaf of aloe is a laxative. The inner leaf is more the immune boosting part. The outer leaf is the laxative, and also aloe is a mast cell stabilizer and histamine blocker which is super nice. Wormwood is also a bitter, so it’s going to be moving the digestion higher up. Like we talk about with mold, if you’re, you have sluggish bowels or motility issues, we need to get the bile moving. We need to get the, the peristalsis going and wormwood can help with that. So you can try aloe wormwood and see how that works for you. And if you have mold sickness, you might need a little extra bitter or bile to get things going, but you wanna get all of the food out of you so that all the energy can go to fighting the bug.

And then rest. That goes without saying. Like, if there is that thing that you’re like, oh, I really, I can tell I’m getting sick, so I gotta check this off the list. You know, some people get like into panic productivity mode when they know they’re getting sick. That’s exactly when you need to say to yourself, all right, if I rest early, I don’t have to be at this for long.
