Rely On Inspectors To Test After Remediation

Today we’re talking about remediators and inspectors. If you think you have mold in your house because you’ve sustained some water damage, I want to make sure that you understand that you need to hire an inspector which is different from a mold remediator. If remediators are telling you that they can do the testing, the pre-testing and the post-testing, after their remediation, I would have some concerns about that. There’s a bit of a conflict of interest. You want to make sure that the people that do the clean up do what they do best and clean up the mold. They may have their own way of post-testing for their own quality control and that’s fine. You want to make sure that you hire an air inspector. Somebody that’s certified, like a certified building biologist so that you can make sure that that post-testing is done well.
