Can You Paint Over Mold To Eliminate It?

Can You Paint Over Mold To Eliminate It?

Today we’re talking about whether you should paint over or fully remediate mold in your house. What do you think my answer is? Paint over? No, definitely not. The problem with painting over any visible mold is that those molds can still secrete their gases, those mycotoxins that I talk about. That can seep right through paint. It can seep right through drywalll. Through insulation. Through flooring. And those gases are what make you sick. So I would recommend that you remediate, meaning you remove any materials in your house that are visibly affected by mold. No painting over.
