Vitamin D for moldies with asthma.

Here’s yet another reason to get outside.

There’s a study that showed that vitamin D helps with particulate induced asthma. And what does mold bring? Particulate. All those little fragments that can break off as mold dies and drys, and that’s what happens in this season. Because it’s dry and it doesn’t have a lot of moisture in the air to grow.

So if you’ve been sick from mold and you have asthma from mold and your asthma gets worse from particulate exposure. It doesn’t even have to be mold. It could be automobile exhaust, could be smoke, dust, dander. If that is something that’s a trigger for you, check your vitamin D and keep those levels up to make sure you can conquer mold. And I keep my patients between 60 and 90 nanograms per milliliter.

A requirement is that you get outside every day and especially on beautiful days like this. If you can’t keep your levels up with just getting outdoors, supplement it.

So you can conquer mold and take back your health.
