Dr. Jill’s Commentary
This is one of my go-to fungus fighters for kids (and adults who also like to take yummy ‘medicine’). It’s the epitome of purity. No additives. No preservatives. Just 100% pure caprylic acid. The concentrated liquid form makes it easy to add to smoothies, shakes, coffee, and teas.
Caprylic acid is a medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) better known as a fat-loss supplement for ketogenic diets. But I like to use its keto effect to help my patients with sweet cravings stay off the carbs. It helps to shift the metabolism away from carbohydrates and towards ketones, without having to maintain a ketogenic diet.
It’s also a reliable antifungal. When we have the flexibility of the liquid form, we can slowly increase the dose and minimize die-off reactions. Its antinflammatory properties help to keep reactions down as well. Many people report feeling a sense of mental clarity and lifting of “the fog” with this simple addition to their morning routine.
From The Book
Here are some key points from my book, Break The Mold, so you can see how this FIGHT tool fits in.
This picture best describes the steps to recover your health after a toxic mold exposure.
The first solution is to AVOID mold!
AVOIDANCE means getting away from the mold.
FUNDAMENTALS involve specific foods and lifestyle factors that can greatly improve your ability to conquer mold.
PROTECT and REPAIR is accomplished with targeted nutrients to manage the toxic damage from mycotoxin exposure.
FIGHT means conquering fungal overgrowth in your body.
