Dr. Jill’s Commentary
Mold is hard on the lining of the gut. Mold mycotoxins cause inflammation and gut barrier breakdown, which may lead to leaky gut syndrome and ulcerations. This impairs our ability to absorb nutrients, and also affects our microbiome and moods.

When the gut lining is affected, it can’t support a healthy balance of flora. The bad guys tend to thrive in this environment, while the beneficial bacteria struggle. Mold sick people can then become dependent on probiotics to maintain gut function.

Our microbiome also determines how we feel. The more beneficial bacteria in our gut, the better our moods and stress management.

There’s a way out of this moldy cycle, and it is to build a solid foundation. This formula is all about gut lining rebuilding. What I appreciate about this formula is not only what’s in it, but also what’s not in it. Most gut support formulas contain glutamine, which is great for the gut, but bad for people with PANDAS or PANS. Glutamine is on my caution list for PANDAS and PANS because it can increase the wrong brain chemistry, making the situation worse. You’ll notice, there’s no glutamine in this blend.

Most mold-sick people can tolerate the little bit of fermented sugar cane as long as they tolerate other sugar alcohols like xylitol.

From The Book
Here are some key points from my book, Break The Mold, so you can see how this FUNDAMENTAL tool fits into a mold recovery plan.
This picture best describes the steps to recover your health after a toxic mold exposure.

The first solution is to AVOID mold!

AVOIDANCE means getting away from the mold.

FUNDAMENTALS involve specific foods and lifestyle factors that can greatly improve your ability to conquer mold.

PROTECT and REPAIR is accomplished with targeted nutrients to manage the toxic damage from mycotoxin exposure.

FIGHT means conquering fungal overgrowth in your body.
