Dr. Jill’s Commentary
The Mayo Clinic lists indoor toxic mold as one of causes for developing myocarditis – meaning inflammation of the muscle of the heart. Many indoor toxic mold species also form mycotoxins which inflame and damage blood vessels. In addition, mold mycotoxins affect how well our bodies process cholesterol. In fact, mold may be the underlying cause for many cardiovascular conditions.

If you look at all the ways that mold can affect the heart and blood vessels, Hawthorn is the perfectly matched antedote. This extract is my favorite solution for patients whose hearts and cardiovascular systems have been altered from mold. It’s rich in bioflavonoids which I talk about in the REPAIR section of my book, Break The Mold. It’s power packed with a super concentration of the active constituents in the berries, called oligomeric procyanidins.

The little sweet addition of honey supports a normal histamine response.

This is a lovely formula!

If you’re curious for more information on Hawthorn, the study referenced below states, “Numerous experiments and clinical studies have underlined cardiovascular efficacy of the plant through various mechanisms including positive inotropic and negative chronotropic effects, escalation in coronary blood flow and exercise tolerance, inhibition of the enzymes such as angiotensinconverting enzyme (ACE) and phosphodiesterase, anti-inflammatory and antihyperlipidemic effects, improving status of antioxidant enzymes, etc., which support its cardioactive efficacy.”**

From The Book
Here are some key points from my book, Break The Mold, so you can see how this REPAIR tool fits into a mold recovery plan.
This picture best describes the steps to recover your health after a toxic mold exposure.

The first solution is to AVOID mold!

AVOIDANCE means getting away from the mold.

FUNDAMENTALS involve specific foods and lifestyle factors that can greatly improve your ability to conquer mold.

PROTECT and REPAIR is accomplished with targeted nutrients to manage the toxic damage from mycotoxin exposure.

FIGHT means conquering fungal overgrowth in your body.
