What’s in your gullet?

The gullet – aka the esophagus – is the space between your swallow and your stomach.
With mold, this area can become a problem.
⚓️ Does food feel like an achor?
🧗🏻‍♀️ Hang around too long?
🗿 Feel like a brick?
☄️ Or like a fireball of acid after eating?
Could be mold!
Mold toxins slow down stomach emptying,
leaving a backup of food and acid.
Mold toxins also cause inflammation of the esophagus and recruitment of immune cells to help with the work of digestion.
This can even lead to a condition called Eosinophilic Esophagitis…. or “inflamed gullet”.
If you’re having trouble with reflux, food getting stuck, or slow swallowing – and you’ve been exposed to a water-damaged building – rule out mold.
